Nature Space

Our Nature Space was philanthropically funded by Nestle in Gympie. The 5 acre outdoor area is dedicated to education and recreation and is an integral part of our Outdoor Education and Recreation Studies subject offerings. Both Primary and Secondary schools use the area for curriculum based activities. The Nature Space features a 600m International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) level mountain biking track, as well as a large dam for canoeing and kayaking.

Primary School

CCC provides modern classrooms that afford flexibility in learning configurations and convenient collaborative teaching opportunities. The wide range of furniture styles and the cutting edge technology including Vivi, iPads, ClickView and much more, help foster engagement in learning activities. In Lower Primary classrooms, teacher provide many inquiry stations designed to stimulate creativity, wonder and innovation. Breakout spaces, both indoors and outside, further enhance the learning environment and promote quiet, calm and focussed group and individual activity. Our educators can also access the Nature Space which is nearby for particular lessons and activities where students can be inspired and challenged in a naturally peaceful setting.

Secondary School

Secondary classrooms are modern and well equipped with noise cancelling walls, flexible spaces and digital learning options. Students have access to lockers and bag racks to assist with managing their belongings. The use of Vivi and Click View ensures teachers are able to access the latest resources for every class. All our general classrooms are fully air conditioned so that students are able to do their best work no matter what the weather.

Stan Baker Hall

$3 million multi-purpose hall funded by the Commonwealth Government ($2 million). The Stan Baker Hall has capacity to seat 1000 and includes a stage, indoor playing courts, dressing/change rooms, soundproof practice rooms, toilets, kitchen, indoor rock climbing wall and outdoor abseiling facility. The audio visual and multimedia functionality make it a perfect facility for functions and events.

Solid Grounds Coffee

When we conceived the idea of owning our own coffee cart, it was purposed to build relationships – to connect with people in our community. What better way to develop deep community, than over a great coffee (or chai, hot chocolate or tea!). Solid Grounds Coffee will be available at selected community events, but more importantly, it will be grounded at CCC as a service to the wider community. Our plan is to provide a safe and secure undercover space for people to enjoy a great coffee (or beverage). Solid Grounds Coffee beans are ethically sourced internationally and are roasted and supplied by KAI Coffee based on the Sunshine coast – a great alignment of values and mission.
