Our People

Andrew Mallett
Role: Chaplain
My Church: Gympie Wesleyan Methodist
Favourite Bible verse: Proverbs 3:5-6
What’s my prop all about? Cricket, which I love to play, is about hand-eye skill and sustaining strategy, for a day’s play or longer. Roller hockey, which I love to play, is about balance and hand-eye skill, and legally having opportunity to inflict physical suffering on your opponent. This gives me an enriched, healthy balance, after spending my everyday trying to restore, encourage and help people.
What is something interesting about me that people may not know? I am adopted.

I also love the family He’s blessed me with and investing time in each of them is a priority.
What does a lazy Sunday afternoon look like? Ironing is my favourite conclusion to a weekend. Ever since I was a little girl, ironing has been calming and relaxing, helping to set the week ahead!
